Contractors from around Chicagoland vie for Remodeling Excellence Awards each year. Judging is based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, and degree of difficulty by an impartial panel of industry experts. A huge congratulations goes out to the team who worked on the project: Teri Meiners (Designer), Jeff Kolota (Project Manager), and John Kautz (President and Relationship Manager), as well as each of our expert craftsmen.

OHi designer, Teri Meiners, explained the clients' desire for remodeling and the intent behind the design saying "When our clients first came to us, they were seeking to transform their home's existing closed floor plan into an open concept layout. Their top priorities were made clear early on and confirmed over the course of several design meetings. Due to the clients' passion for cooking and entertaining, a larger kitchen with ample countertop space was a must. To accomplish this goal, we removed the walls that secluded the dining room, relocated the powder room, and transformed the previously narrow galley kitchen into a spacious, transitional kitchen. Through these structural modifications, we were able to launch this 1990s style home into the 21st century."

NARIGC's Evening of Excellence reception was held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Venuti's Banquets in Addison. During this event, NARIGC honored all Remodeling Excellence Award winners.

NARIGC is a professional association whose members adhere to a strict code of ethics. To be considered for a Remodeling Excellence Award, a company must be a NARIGC member in good standing.
