Gallery Show and Artist Reception for Jeanie Griffin at Windsor Park

Carol Stream, Ill. – January 24, 2013 – Windsor Park, a Covenant Retirement Community in Carol Stream, invites the community to view a collection of artist Jeanie Griffin's vivid pastel portraits of children. A reception for Griffin will be Tuesday, Feb. 11, 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the Centrum of Windsor Park, 124 Windsor Park Drive.

The gallery show is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Commissioned by people throughout the country, Griffin created the portraits to benefit the Young Men's Educational Network of Chicago, a Christian ministry.

Griffin's art has been in five national juried art shows, along with many local shows and public galleries. The Glen Ellyn artist studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago and the American Academy of Art in Chicago. She pursued graduate study in medieval art history at the University of Chicago.

About Jeanie Griffin:

The work of Jeanie Griffin is concentrated in painting with pastels. In addition to five juried art shows, she has won 13 awards at various DuPage Art League shows. Additionally, she has participated in group and solo shows at the Glen Ellyn Library, the Central DuPage Pastoral Counseling Center, and the Faith Lutheran Church, Glen Ellyn.
