Favia Group donates $1,000 to help the needy in Humanitarian Service Project's programs
The Humanitarian Service Project (HSP) has received a $1,000 contribution from Favia Group, a financial planning firm in Villa Park, to be used for HSP's various programs. Favia Group began partnering with HSP this year and has also provided volunteers for the Carol Stream based charity's programs to serve needy children, seniors and families in the community.
Favia Group recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. The firm's slogan is “financial strategies, one future at a time” and they are committed to developing long-term and productive relationships with their clients. According to their website, they have been successful by maintaining a flexible and personalized approach to consumers' specific financial needs. They customize the appropriate strategies to obtain the client's vision in tax management, investment management, retirement strategies, estate conservation and insurance and insurance and annuity products.
“I love the community that I live in and I am moved by the thoughtfulness and generosity from every one,” said Jo Ann Favia, president of Favia Group. “We hope our contributions to Humanitarian Service Project will give needy families, children and seniors a moment in which they can worry about one less thing and simply enjoy the holidays with those they love.”
The Favia Group's donation will be distributed as needed to one or more of HSP's 4 major programs. The Senior Citizen Project (SCP) supplies 120 impoverished seniors with a monthly delivery of 90 lbs of groceries that include a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen meats, non-perishable foods, personal care items and paper products. The Children's Birthday Project (CBP) creates wonderful birthday memories for more than 700 needy children by providing them with a 25-30 pound box filled with toys, books, school supplies and everything necessary to have a birthday party. The HSP also has a Feed the Kids (FTK) program over the summer. This ensures that children who qualify for free or reduced priced meals during the school year have proper nutrition during the summer months as well. Lastly, HSP does the Christmas Offering Project (COP) over the holidays. This provides impoverished families with 2-3 weeks of food as well as furnishes 5-6 new Christmas gifts to more than 1,200 needy children.
