ICHS Senior Megan Sutton Named Commended Student in National Merit Scholarship Program

Immaculate Conception High School is proud to announce that senior Megan Sutton of Elmhurst has been named a Commended Student in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program. Megan is a member of the National Honor Society, a Christian Service Leader, and the Assistant Editor of the Yearbook. She is the Student Council Public Relations Officer for the senior class and a four year member of the Math Team. In addition, Megan is a three sport athlete – participating in Cross Country, Basketball and Softball.

Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2012 competition for National Merit Scholarships, the Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2012 competition by taking the 2010 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
