Life on the Back Nine

Barrington Cultural Arts Center (BCAC) in conjunction with the Barrington Area Council On Aging (BACOA) has produced an event celebrating Barrington area's vibrant older adults. Ten residents were recruited by BACOA and BCAC to share their interesting life stories and to pose for individual portraits created by BCAC's artist members. The result is a month-long exhibition entitled 'Life on the Back Nine'.

A year in the making, the exhibition features over 40 portrait interpretations by 18 local artists with accompanying model biographies. Join neighbors at the opening reception on Friday, June 1, 2018 at The Garlands of Barrington, 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington, Illinois, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The exhibition may be accessed through the outside Performing Arts Center doors the night of the reception. On following dates please enter through the main entrance. The Portrait Exhibition runs June 1 through June 28, from 9 a.m. AM to 5 p.m. The reception and exhibition are free to the public.
