Hit the links with inaugural Kiss of Hope Golf Open

Join the inaugural Kiss of Hope Golf Open on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Whisper Creek Golf Club, 12840 Del Webb Blvd., Huntley. Register at www.ckmc.org/golf2016.

Cancer Kiss My Cooley is a charity focused on helping local children fighting brain cancer enjoy special moments and memories with their families. The experiences can be anything from going on a trip with their families, meeting their favorite celebrity, going to a concert, or being able to purchase something they have always wanted.

Hit the links with supporters for a fun afternoon of golf, games, and prizes.

It will begin at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start followed by dinner at 6 p.m.

Cost is $200 or $700 for a foursome. Cost for dinner only is $50.

Price includes golf, golf cart, most of the on course contests, scratch off for a Vegas vacation, hot lunch, buffet dinner catered by Jameson's Char House and more.

Founded in 2011, Cancer Kiss My Cooley is a Huntley-based 501(c) 3 charitable organization. The board of directors are dedicated to raising community awareness toward pediatric brain tumors. The organization grants Kisses of HOPE, which are special moments or experiences tailor made for the patient and their family. They receive Kiss of HOPE referrals up to age 18 through established partnerships. They have partnered with the brain tumor program at Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago and JourneyCare, a Barrington-based community agency that provides hospice and palliative care services to children facing serious or life-limiting illnesses.
