Aug. 27: CLC sponsors Get Connected Vendor Fair

Over the next five years, the College of Lake County will spend $163 million on campus improvements involving major purchases of goods and services beyond its normal business needs.

To help local vendors become aware of the upcoming opportunities, CLC will sponsor a Get Connected Vendor Fair from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, in Room C005 (C Wing auditorium) at the Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St.

Because of construction, vendors should enter the B Wing and proceed to the lower level of the C Wing.

At the event, vendors can network with the college's architects, construction managers, facilities team and procurement staff and learn about the college's projects planned for 2015-2017.

Upcoming procurement opportunities associated with campus improvements include those involving commodities, construction and professional services.

The college is looking to increase business opportunities for disadvantaged Lake County businesses. Minority, female and veteran-owned businesses are encouraged to attend.
