Visit Nanotechnology Family Festival at CLC Southlake Campus

Discover nanoscale science and engineering applications with hands-on activities at the College of Lake County Nanotechnology Family Festival from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at CLC Southlake Campus.

It includes a tour of CLC's nanotechnology labs, 1120 S. Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills.

Check in at the Atrium and proceed to discover how fabrication, materials, products and properties are influenced. Visitors can build a transmission electron microscope, dress up like a nanoscientist and use light polarizers to make things invisible.

NanoNight is presented in collaboration with Wheeling High School and the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network.

NISE Net is a national community of researchers and informal science educators dedicated to fostering public awareness, engagement and understanding of nanoscale science, engineering and technology.

In the United States, it is led by 14 organizations and includes hundreds of museums and universities.

Advance registration is recommended. To register, email southlake@clcillinois.edu. For questions, contact Dr. Ahmad Ali Audi at aaudi@clcillinois.edu or call (847) 543-6537.
