Retired teachers to meet with TRS Outreach director

The Northern Kane County Retired Educators, a group of retired teachers, administrators, and educational assistants, will host Rich Frankenfeld, Teachers' Retirement System Outreach Director, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at the Elgin offices of the Illinois Education Association, 2230 Point Blvd., Suite 400 in Elgin.

Frankenfeld will address the developments surrounding the pension situation for educators, both those currently retired and those considering retirement in the near future.

"With so much being discussed in the court, by legislators and the governor, this is an important time to hear from the agency that is responsible for pension policy and implementation," stated NKCRE president Brian Mooberry, a teacher retiree from Elgin Area School District U-46. "Rich Frankenfeld will report to Teacher's Retirement System members, both active and retired, on the status of court action and legislative considerations being undertaken now, and it's a message that near retirees and those already retired need to hear."

The meeting will include a soup and sandwich luncheon for those interested. Cost is $8.

Reservations for the meeting and the lunch should be made by calling Brian Mooberry at (847) 697-3617 or email brianmooberry@aol.com. Reservations should be made by Friday, Feb. 27.
