I ran into this Iron Hero at the Schaumburg Airport while on assignment for the Daily Herald. It is the creation of James Speers, Principal/Creative Director at BaseZero Productions of Schaumburg, who made him in the basement of his home. The Iron Hero makes appearances at business functions, reducing grownups to five year olds as they pose for pictures. In a somewhat related matter, the real Iron Man Tony Starks, a.k.a. Robert Downey Jr., nd his wife Susan, who is from Schaumburg, just had their second Iron Baby. Pretty Cool, Right?   Ahhh, macro lenses and fall colors go together like..... well I am just not sure, but I do know that when fall rolls around I like to get out for a walk and check out the colors that nature is displaying. This autumn was no different and definitely did not disappoint. Rain drops cling to autumn leaves at Leroy Oakes Forest Preserve in St. Charles Township after storms rolled through the Fox Valley area. According to the website scienceamadesimple.com, leaves change color as the green chlorophyll disappears from the leaves. Sunlight and the colder temperatures in the fall cause the leaves to turn the trapped glucose into deep red colors.   As head football coaches Paul Murphy and Mike Stine shake hands at midfield after a Naperville Central playoff victory, a Waubonsie Valley player aids his grief-stricken teammate. The road towards any high school state championship narrows with the passing of each playoff round.
