COD to Host Dual Credit Open House Aug. 12

College of DuPage will host a Dual Credit Open House from 2 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the (temporary) Naperville Center located at the Fry Properties Office Building, 2244 W. 95th St. in Naperville.

This event is free and open to the public.

During the open house, representatives from College of DuPage will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about the advantages of the Dual Credit program. Participants will learn the ins-and-outs of the program, including the types of courses that are offered, requirements for students, high schools that are included in the program and college credit transfer. In addition, an admissions representative will be available to answer questions about early admissions to College of DuPage.

The Dual Credit program at College of DuPage provides high school students with the opportunity to enroll in selected courses at their high school for which they will receive both college credit and high school credit. Students can choose from a broad range of technical education classes, including architecture, computer and information systems, cosmetology, electronics, health sciences, motion picture/television and photography, as well as general education classes such as anatomy and physiology, education, foreign languages, education, math and sociology.
