Elgin, IL (June 23, 2014).....The Fox Valley Eagles of the Ironman Football League has announced the team is relocating its 2014 home games from Huntley to Lake Barrington prior to this season's opening which is scheduled for this Saturday, June 28, 2014.

"It is with regret that the Fox Valley Eagles are moving its home games from Huntley to Lake Barrington," said Patrick Sharpe, Eagles president and general manager. "Our decision was made to move from Huntley High School following the announcement of the impending renovation projects for the school's field house and parking lot. Efforts were made to remain in Huntley and relocate our games to Marlowe Middle School's field, but this also was hampered by the field not being available in August for three Eagles Home games."

The Ironman Football League has approved the Fox Valley Eagle's move to Lake Barrington Fieldhouse, located at 28156 W. Northpoint near Route 14 and Pepper Road. The facility offers an air-conditioned and bug-free indoor 100-yard turf field during the hot days of August. The Eagles will practice indoors before their home games on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

The Eagles opened the season with two away games and launch home games on Saturday, June 28, against the Rock River Raptors from Rockford.

The Eagles play a 10-game season with five home and five away games competing against teams from Illinois and Wisconsin. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. All semipro play is according to NFL rules.

The Eagles carry a roster of 55 local players from throughout the Fox Valley, who reside from McHenry to Aurora, including Marengo and Barrington.

Ticket prices are $7; $5 for seniors and children; no charge for active military, police and fire personnel and kids under 6 years old. (Rookies Restaurants is offering a free appetizer up to $10 for each ticket bought at the game.)
