New 'Food Matters' Field Studies Course Offered this Summer

College of DuPage has added a new multidisciplinary field studies program, "Food Matters: Connecting Eating, Health and the Environment," which is offered Wednesday evenings July 2 to Wednesday, July 30.

This new course will examine the world of food from the perspectives of the humanities and sciences. Participants will explore the impact of food production and consumption on human and environmental health in the United States and beyond through classroom discussion and readings, documentary and feature films, two full-day field trips, lectures and writing.

Participating students must also co-enroll in BIOLO-1800-FS085 and ENGLI-1800-FS085. The program fee of $100 will cover transportation, course materials and some meals. Tuition for the additional credits is extra.
