Hot shooting nets NJCAA honor for Harper's Gaedele

In the NJCAA Region IV Report released Monday, Harper sophomore Tyler Gaedele (Rolling Meadows) was named the Region IV, Div. III player of the week.

The 6-foot-2 guard scored a season-high 24 points in a 101-87 home win over Elgin Community College last Tuesday. Gaedele made 7 of 14 three-pointers in the game to help lead the Hawks to a fifth straight win.

Gaedele is averaging 10.8 points and has a team-best 22 three-pointers in eight games.

The next scheduled game for the 5-3 Hawks, who have won five straight, is Tuesday against visiting Olive Harvey College at 7 p.m.
