Harper to honor its 2013 distinguished alumni

Seven alumni will be honored as the 2013 class of Distinguished Alumni for Harper College, at a reception from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Wojcik Conference Center on the Harper campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine. They are: David Coles, engineering and science manager, Lockheed Martin; Gayle Deja-Schultz, director of special events, Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago; Dr. Thomas Mullin, physician at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital; Michael Nejman, consultant and retired director of student activities for Harper College; Jamie Pritscher, CEO and founder of That's Caring, an eco-friendly gift basket company; Michael Terson, public relations and marketing manager, Buffalo Grove Park District; and Tim Tyrrell, director of market development for Pirch Kitchen and Bath Fixtures, and former NFL player. Guest speaker will be Holly E. Morris, director of postsecondary model development and adoption for EDUCAUSE. RSVP by Oct. 21.
