Fremd's Drost delivers in Ivanhoe Classic

Fremd's Jamie Drost earned medalist honors at Monday's Ivanhoe Classic, shooting 75 on the par-72 layout to beat his nearest competitors by 3 strokes.

Barrington junior Joey Batliner and Stevenson junior Luke Feder were next at 78, followed by Kamaren Sandhu of Stevenson and Ryan Magee and Bret Cigelnik of Mundelein at 79.

Stevenson took top honors in the team competition by shooting 321. Mundelein (326), Barrington (329), Fremd (338), Libertyville (344) and Carmel (345) rounded out the top six team finishers.

Other area individuals cracking the top 10 were Jerry Pan of Stevenson and Tom Calbi of Barrington at 80, John Goehrke of Vernon Hills (82) and Tyler White of Mundelein (83).
