Take part in Alzheimer’s Association’s walk

The Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s is a united movement to reclaim the future for millions. The event will take place Sunday, Sept. 15, at Harper College, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.

Participants will do an approximately 3-mile walk and will learn more about Alzheimer’s disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical trial enrollment, and support programs and services of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Each walker will also join in a tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter, is also currently recruiting volunteers for various job roles at Walk to End Alzheimer’s events throughout its 68-county service area.

Volunteers help with many different aspects of the walk, from event day setup to informing participants about the Alzheimer’s Association’s advocacy efforts, to guiding walkers along the designated route.
