MATC, Harper meet in softball regional play-in game

Having already split four meetings this season, host Madison Area Technical College (12-18) and Harper College (4-18) will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday in an NJCAA regional play-in game.
The winner will advance to the regional semifinals, which will be played at MATC on Friday.
The Wolfpack enters the postseason having gone 2-3 in their last five games.
The last time the two programs played, MATC swept a doubleheader, outscoring the Hawks by a combined 18-7. The home team has won every game between the teams this season.
MATC freshman shortstop Jordan Bell is hitting .490. Harper has struggled to score recently, with 9 runs scored in its last seven games.
