Crystal Lake South 6, Grayslake North 0: Easton Kowalski (3-1) pitched a no-hitter Thursday night as the Gators picked up a victory at home. Kowalski threw a complete-game, giving up no runs while striking out 12. Chris Hauser, Ryan Price, Alex Macaulay, and Robbie Lemke paced the Gators' offensive attack, each recording a double.

Dundee-Crown 6, Woodstock 5: The Chargers (5-5, 2-0) earned another 6-5 victory over Woodstock in Fox Valley Conference action, but this one needed 8 innings to finish instead of the 6-5 victory over Woodstock earlier this week that was played in regulation. Sophomore Jake Romano provided power for the Chargers as he turned in a 2-for-4 effort from the plate that included a home run. Chris Sailor went 3-for-4 from the plate while also picking up the victory in relief of starter Zach Vodicka.

Bartlett 8, Elgin 2: Pinch-hitter Phil Leonard drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh inning that sparked the Hawks' offense and led them to a victory over the Maroons (0-4, 0-1) in Upstate Eight Conference action. Greg Partyka led the Hawks with a double and 3 RBI while the Maroons were held to just 4 hits, 2 of which came off the bat of Zack Frerichs, who also added an RBI. Matt DiCienni earned the victory on the mound for the Hawks as he pitched a complete-game with 5 strikeouts. Alex Doty (0-1) suffered the loss for the Maroons going 6 1/3 innings, scattering 8 hits and striking out 5.

Larkin 10, Streamwood 7: The Royals (2-6-1, 1-0) scored early and held on to win as the Sabres (4-4, 0-1) came up just short in their comeback effort in this Upstate Eight Conference opener. Reid Ellis (3-for-4), Lee Jackson (2-for-4), and Drew Shore led the Royals offensively as they each knocked in 2 runs apiece while the Sabres were led by Sean Jordan (3-for-4) and Mike Diebold who recorded 2 RBI apiece as well. Royals' pitcher Jake McCleary threw 5 innings, allowed 0 earned runs, and 3 hits while striking out 4. Diebold suffered the loss for the Sabres allowing 9 runs, 3 of those earned, while scattering 8 hits and striking out 6.

Burlington Central 6, Neenah (WI) 0: The Rockets (9-1) continued their winning ways as they scored all the runs they would need in the first inning to knock off visiting Neenah (Wis.). Winning pitcher Nick Hahn tossed a 2-hitter through 6 innings while striking out 8. Austin Jarvis led the Rockets with a double and 2 RBI.
