Anttila, Potkonjak spark Antioch

Allie Anttila sank three 3-pointers and scored 17 points, and Andi Potkonjak added 15 points and 7 assists, as Antioch's girls basketball team defeated host Grant for the second time in seven days Thursday night.

The Sequoits won 65-51 in North Suburban Prairie Division action, with Lauren Tiffany (12 points) also scoring in double figures. Nicole Kelly chipped in 7 points and 9 rebounds, while Jessica Ploss had 9 points and 8 boards.

Antioch (12-12, 7-4) wraps up NSC Prairie action Saturday with a home game against North Chicago.

Grant (12-14, 6-5), which visits Wauconda on Saturday in its divisional finale, was led by Donnie Taggart's 18 points. Heather Chapman and Morgan Jahnke each chipped in eight.

Wauconda 48, Harvard 26: The Bulldogs celebrated Senior Night with a nonconference win, as Kate Martino totaled 18 points, 5 assists and 3 steals.

Erinn Hellweg added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals for Wauconda (18-5). Kelsey Mills had 7 steals.

Vernon Hills 64, Maine East 21: Alana Coy had 17 points, including three 3-pointers, 4 assists and 3 steals for the host Cougars in the nonconference game.

Meri Bennett-Swanson added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocked shots for Vernon Hills (16-9), which won its third game in a row. Jessica Feece had 5 points, including a 3-pointer, 6 assists and 2 steals.
