Hawthorn Mall Welcomes Santa: 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Hawthorn Mall, 122 Hawthorn Center, Vernon Hills. Costumed characters from "A Christmas Story," along with the Countryside Fire Department, will escort Santa through the mall to his new "A Christmas Story"-themed home on the lower level near Center Park.
