DuPage CASA to host Mad Hatter Gala Oct. 2

CASA of DuPage County is hosting its annual CASA Gala on Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Westin in Lombard.

Guests will enjoy inspirational stories, entertaining activities, an auction, live music, dancing, and a great time with friends - all while raising much-needed funds for abused and neglected children in DuPage County.

CASA board members and Gala co-chairs Karen Patton and Luke Vanderbloemen welcome community members to an evening to remember, where friends of CASA will come together with a goal of raising $200,000 for abused, neglected, or vulnerable children in the DuPage County juvenile court system.

"Welcome to an evening of whimsical wonder at the CASA Mad Hatter Gala, where 'Nothing is Impossible.' We selected this quote from the story, because the children we serve, with the support of their appointed advocates, have overcome the most difficult challenges, reminding us that nothing is impossible!," said Suzanne Skala, DuPage CASA executive director.

This year, to ensure the safety of guests, they will be following the current governmental COVID safety guidelines at the time of the event, in addition to asking for proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event.

Skala further explained, "Our vision is that every child deserves a safe, permanent and nurturing home. As safety is part of our vision, the safety of our guests and volunteers is our utmost priority. We are delighted to be able to host our largest fundraising event this year in person by following these important guidelines."
