COD hosts 'Dynamic India' April 21

The College of DuPage Asia Committee will host “Dynamic India” from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, in the college's Student Resource Center, Room 2800.

Through a series of lectures, discussions and performances, this free symposium will explore the history, philosophy and contemporary society of this south Asian state and its people.

The program will include a tablar and sitar performance, yoga session, a screening of Bollywood hit, “Outsourced,” as well as Indian food, music and a fashion show.

Lecture topics include “Changing Narratives of Caste from Ancient to Contemporary India” and “Immigration and Acculturation Issues of Indian Immigrant Student Population: Implications for Community College Education.”
