COD, Concordia U. partner to offer Three New 3+1 BA degrees

College of DuPage and Concordia University Chicago have announced three new 3+1 educational agreements that enable students to earn Bachelor of Arts degrees in Healthcare Management, Sports & Recreation Management, and Visual Arts Administration from Concordia-Chicago at COD's Glen Ellyn campus.

During the first three years of these programs, students complete between 96-104 credit hours (depending on the selected degree) of College of DuPage courses offered at COD's tuition rate. The fourth year, students complete an additional 32 credit hours of courses taught by Concordia professors at College of DuPage at a reduced Concordia tuition rate. To ensure successful program completion, students enrolled in the program also receive concurrent advising from COD and Concordia-Chicago.

“These agreements are a true milestone for College of DuPage, which now offers ten 3+1 bachelor's degrees with partner universities that cover all academic discipline divisions at the College,” said Dr. Jean V. Kartje, COD Vice President of Academic Affairs. “These agreements with Concordia University Chicago are additionally significant because they provide the opportunity for our students to complete education and training for careers in very strong, high-demand fields.”

These new 3+1 agreements are designed for COD students and alumni in Dental Hygiene, Management, Physical Education, Art and Graphic Design programs.

College of DuPage will host a 3+1 Career Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 1 to 6 p.m. in the Student Services Center (SSC) Atrium, with presentations scheduled at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. in

SSC 2201.
