College of DuPage to host European Film Festival Oct. 28-30

The European Studies Committee at College of DuPage will present a European Film Festival Oct. 28 to 30 in the Student Resource Center (SRC), Room 2000, on the College's main campus in Glen Ellyn.

This event is free and open to the public.

Participants interested in entering the Short Film Contest can submit a one-minute video in a European language by Oct. 21 to thoens@cod.edu. Entries must include English subtitles.

This free event will feature award-winning films from France, Germany and Italy, as well as screenings of winning entries to the Short Film Contest. All films will be shown with English subtitles.

Monday, Oct. 28, will feature the Italian films "Ladri di biciclette," from 1 to 4 p.m. and "Caterina va in città" from 6 to 9 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 29, will feature two screenings of the French film "Les Diaboliques" from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 30, will feature the German films "M-Eine Stadt sucht einen Moerder" from 1 to 4 p.m. and "Eine Frau in Berlin" from 6 to 9 p.m.

The European Studies Committee at College of DuPage promotes understanding and appreciation of European countries, languages and cultures by hosting events in collaboration with European cultural, educational, artistic and diplomatic organizations.
