Football Smoker/Makris Family Benefit Jan. 23

Jim Makris passed away suddenly in September after complications from a severe allergic reaction to bee stings, as reported in the Daily Herald: http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20100923/news/309239937/

The 51-year-old Elk Grove Village man leaves behind his wife Maggie and three children, Alex, Michael and Nicole.

A benefit is being held to help the family with ongoing expenses from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23 at the Society of Danube Swabians Clubhouse, 625 Seegers Road in Des Plaines.

The entry fee is $50 or $25 for those under 21 years old. It includes food, cash bar

Come join them for Chicago Bears football, all-you-eat-food, and non-alcoholic drinks. There will be a cash bar. Silent auction and raffles will also be conducted. There will be several big screen televisions to catch all the action. Join them on Sunday, have fun, eat well and help a worthy cause.
