Cupcake Wars at COD Raises Funds for Food Bank

College of DuPage recently hosted a cupcake baking competition, raising $400 for the Northern Illinois Food Bank. A total of nine teams presented their best cupcakes, which they sold to guests in the College's cafeteria. Entries were judged on taste and presentation and awards, including baking supplies, were given to the first, second and third place contestants. Winners included: Team Sweet Dreams, Ashley Curtice, first place; Team Sweet Temptations, Trevona Smith, and Sinfully Sweet, Clementine Frye, second place (tie); and Team Sweet Tooth, Amanda Hlad, Gabby Davis and Sammie Curatola, third place.
