COD to Host Massage Therapy Information Sessions this Spring

College of DuPage will host two free advising sessions this spring with information about the College's Massage Therapy program. These free sessions will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, and at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, in the Student Resource Center, Room 1110, on the College's main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn. During these sessions, attendees will receive a variety of information on the program, including registration, curriculum and schedule of 2016 offerings.

The comprehensive 760-hour, one-year Massage Therapy program at College of DuPage includes both lecture and hands-on training in the theory and practice of various modalities of massage: human anatomy, physiology, pathology and kinesiology. The program also includes business principles, communication, ethics and clinical studies.

The Massage Therapy program at College of DuPage also runs a professional Massage Clinic. The clinic offers a variety of treatments administered by fully licensed, certified professionals, including craniosacral therapy, deep-tissue, pre-natal, reflexology, reiki, shiatsu, sports performance, Swedish/wellness massage, tuina and Thai massage.

Appointments are available Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon; in the Student Resource Center (SRC), Room 1110. Reservations are required 12 hours in advance.
