COD Veterans Services Hosts Academic Success Event April 13

College of DuPage Veterans Services will host "Mission to Succeed," a free academic success planning event, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, in Student Services Center, Room 2201, on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

The event is designed to motivate veteran students using Chapter 30, 31, 33, Tuition Assistance, Illinois Veterans Grant and Illinois National Guard Grant to succeed academically and professionally and to empower all veteran students to develop an academic plan with the support of various resources. Representatives from veteran organizations and programs, including The Posse Veterans Program, Warrior-Scholar Project, Service2School, Veterans Upward Bound and SALUTE, will be on hand to meet with participants

The Veterans Services office provides veterans and military personnel educational benefits processing, emergency loans and veteran scholarship information, VA work study program, local veteran assistance organization referrals, specialized veterans counseling, and a variety of other services.
