College of DuPage Faculty Perform March 10 at the MAC

Faculty performers will be highlighted at a concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 10, in the Playhouse Theatre at the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd., in Glen Ellyn.

Faculty members Stephen Ramsdell, Karol Sue Reddington, Emi Murata, Mara Leonard, Donna Rice, Geoffrey Lowe, Larry Ortega, Jennifer Barnickel-Fitch and Steven L. Havens are scheduled to perform. The evening's program includes Astor Piazzolla's "Verano Porteno," selections by Hugo Wolf and Chopin's "Cello Sonata, Op. 65."

"Among the works to be executed are some South American pieces for solo guitar, German songs by Hugo Wolf, a piano solo arranged by Serge Rachmaninoff and a piece for cello based on a Chinese folks song," said Pam Eiten, Applied Music Coordinator.

Tickets to both concerts are $6. Advance $5 tickets are available to College of DuPage students.
