Girl Scouts Host Area Internet Cafés for Spring Registration
Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois (GSNI) has opened spring registration for all current girl and adult members. Spring registration allows current members to re-register for the 2014-15 Girl Scout year now, as opposed to September 30, 2014, when the membership year ends. Early registration helps girls, their families, and volunteers easily stay connected to Girl Scouts over the summer and during the busy back-to-school season. Members can now re-register online at www.girlscoutsni.org until June 15. Each member who re-registers receives a fun "Discover the Universe: Be a Girl Scout" patch.
GSNI will also host internet cafés at area locations to help members re-register. Girls who re-register at an internet café will receive a sheet of special Girl Scout stickers and be entered in a drawing to win one of 18 Girl Scout mini-plush stuffed animals. Local internet cafés will be held:

Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois serves over 17,000 girls and 4,000 adult volunteers in parts or all of Boone, Carroll, Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Jo Daviess, Kane, Kendall, Lake, LaSalle, Lee, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson, Whiteside, and Winnebago counties.
Through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, girls in grades K through 12 are engaged in discovering themselves, connecting with others, and taking action to make the world a better place. Girls develop leadership potential by participating in age-appropriate activities that enable them to discover their values, skills, and the world around them. Activities in science and technology, business and economic literacy, and outdoor and environmental awareness provide girls with opportunities for fun and friendship while fostering the development of leadership skills and self-esteem.
