Night at the Races fundraiser to aid dog therapy program
Rainbow Animal Assisted Therapy's Annual Fundraising Event will be A Night at the Races on Friday, Oct. 24 at Maywood Park Race Track. Tickets are $30, which will include a full buffet, racing program, pari-mutuel betting, free parking and more. Order your tickets now for family and friends and enjoy a fun filled evening as proceeds are dedicated to Rainbow AAT, an organization for special dogs that help special kids. Temperament Test: In celebration of Lincolnwood Training Club for German Shepherd Dogs' 70th year of training, the club will hold the German Shepherd Dog Club of America Temperament Test on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Lincolnwood's training center at Central and Dearlove Roads in Glenview. This is not limited to German shepherds; however, it is limited to 30 dogs. Fee is $25. For an extra $5 you can enjoy a spaghetti lunch. A soft drink and dessert will also be available. Seminar on Aggression: Northwest Obedience Club will host a seminar by Brenda Aloff on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 1 and 2, in the training center at 735 Industrial Drive, Cary. The seminar is Aggression: Recognition and Management. It will also cover body language. Deadline to register is Friday, Oct. 17.
