Annual Glen Ellyn Vintage Auto Fest taking entries

The sixth annual Glen Ellyn Vintage Auto Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Stacy's Tavern Museum and Glen Ellyn History Center.

During the Auto Fest, there will be free presentations in the History Center on automotive history.

Attendees can enjoy lunch by Heavenly Hot Dogs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Take free mini-tours of Stacy's Tavern Museum. Stop by the annual bake sale by members of the historical society. Check out the annual Sidewalk Sale at Stacy's Corners Store, the historical society's gift shop. There will be an activity center for children to color drawings of vintage vehicles.

To receive a printable registration form, email Karen at director@gehs.org or call (630) 469-1867, or pick one up at the Glen Ellyn History Center at 800 N. Main St. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

The fee is $10 per vehicle. Submit the application and check or money order, payable to the Glen Ellyn Historical Society. Mail form and fee to Vintage Auto Fest, Glen Ellyn Historical Society, 800 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. They also welcome event sponsors.

The applicant will receive two free tickets to Stacy's Tavern Museum to be used during 2019, a discount coupon for Stacy's Corners Store, and a dash plaque.

Vehicle registration at the gate will be $15 and the dash plaque will not be guaranteed.

The vehicle gate opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 10 a.m. Vehicle registration materials will be distributed at the gate located at 557 Geneva Road (use driveway just west of Stacy's Tavern Museum - this property is located west of the intersection of St. Charles Road and North Main Street). Vehicles must arrive before 10 a.m. and remain until 3 p.m.

Packard, Studebaker and Cadillac Club members will be attending and all vintage, antique and classic cars and clubs are welcome.

A map will be posted at www.gehs.org.

Applicants will vote on Best of Show awards to be given at 2:45 p.m.
