COD Veterans Services Hosts Future Service Member Education Day April 27

College of DuPage Veterans Services in partnership with Lewis University will host the 2016 Future Service member Education, a free conference for high school students from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, in Student Resource Center, Room 2000 on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

Designed for high school students considering the U.S. Armed Forces, the conference includes information on paying for school, pursuing an education and access to higher education institutions following military service. Representatives from the Army ROTC, Air Force ROTC, Navy, Marines and Reserve and National Guard components will be available to answer questions.

The Veterans Services office offers a number of services, including veterans and military personnel educational benefits processing; emergency loans and veteran scholarship information; VA work study program; local veteran assistance organization referrals; and specialized veterans counseling.
