COD Horticulture Students Earn Landscape Design Awards at ILCA Awards Banquet

March 8, 2016 - Seven College of DuPage horticulture students recently earned awards for their landscape designs at the 2015 Excellence in Landscape Awards Banquet hosted by the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA) in Schaumburg, Ill.

Winners from College of DuPage include:

3D Landscape Design Computer Generated Presentation: Jorge Castillo, First Place (Elk Grove Village); Jomarie Avino, Second Place (Downers Grove); and Nahum Castillo, Third Place (Streamwood)

Computer-Assisted Design - CAD/DynaSCAPE: Sergio Canales, Second Place (West Chicago)

Hand-Drawn: Rosemarie Freeman, Third Place (Wheaton); Nancy Mstowski, Sixth Place (Glen Ellyn); and Brandon Spencer, Seventh Place (Aurora)

The collegiate landscape design competition held by the ILCA is open to all two- and four-year colleges in Illinois. The annual event showcases the best students landscape designs in Illinois.
