COD March 'Images' Highlights Distinguished Alum Marco Benassi, Cosmetology Program

"Images," College of DuPage's monthly one-half hour television show, features in its March edition segments on the College's Cosmetology and Study Abroad programs.

Each month, "Images" highlights the personalities, news and curriculum of a vibrant College of DuPage campus. The show airs on 13 area cable television stations.

The March "Images" highlights the College's Summer Language Study Abroad program to X'ian, China. Applications currently are being accepted to this month-long course. Participants study the Chinese language and acquire firsthand knowledge of the people and culture of X'ian while exploring the famous sights and sounds of this majestic city.

The show also features a segment on the College's Cosmetology program, highlighting the classroom, lab and clinical settings that give students valuable hands-on experience and community members access to affordable salon treatments. Students, faculty and instructors offer a general overview of the curriculum and its relevance to today's job market.

This month's show also includes a segment on 2015 COD Distinguished Alum and Speech Professor Marco Benassi. Benassi was one of eight individuals recognized for their outstanding achievements.

Also featured is "In the Kitchen with Chris" with Culinary Professor Chris Thielman. This month, Thielman shares step-by-step instructions on preparing sautéed scallops with pecan pesto sauce.

Images airs at various times on cable television stations in Downers Grove, Wheaton, Addison, Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Glendale Heights, Bartlett, Lemont, Elk Grove, Darien, Aurora and West Chicago. Check local cable listings for times and channels.
