Foundation Scholarship Reception Celebrates Students and Donors

Rebecca McGreevy thanks the donors and the College of DuPage Foundation for receiving the Single Parent Scholarship and the Elizabeth Geyer Scholarship during the recent Foundation Scholarship Reception.

"I came from a background where I was not able to get an education right away," said McGreevy (Itasca), who is pursuing her Respiratory Care associate's degree and is both one of the class president and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. "I want to thank you for the opportunity to prove that your support does help."

Susan Lang Berry, immediate past president of the COD Foundation Board, thanked the donors for their continued support and their confidence in the College's students, with more than $450,000 provided for student scholarships.

"This is the night where the Foundation's mission comes alive," she said. "The aspirations of our students come in all sizes - small dreams, large dreams, and dreams yet to be imagined. This is an opportunity to recognize the philanthropic support that many of you provide to ensure students can follow their dreams."
