Walking to fund a cure: Elorac Supports the National Psoriasis Foundation

Elorac, a pharmaceutical company located in the north suburbs of Chicago, is in its seventh year of supporting the National Psoriasis Foundation's efforts of finding a cure for psoriasis. The company and employees donate both funds and time to the cause. In the Chicagoland area, where Elorac is headquartered, employees and family members participate in the Chicago walk.

This year, the National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF), added another walk location in Naperville, IL, along the Riverwalk. "We are looking forward to being part of this inaugural walk in Naperville," said Christopher Gabanski, Chief Commercial Officer at Elorac. "Our active partnership with the NPF and its members is very important to us since we are also researching better ways to treat psoriasis with the hope of a cure someday."

Elorac markets Zithranol® Shampoo (anthralin 1%, microcrystalline-encapsulated system) for scalp psoriasis. Zithranol Shampoo is the only non-steroidal, prescription shampoo. To see complete prescribing information and photo results, please visit ZithranolShampoo.com.

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease that causes thick scaly patches to appear on the skin. These can be very painful, itch, crack and bleed. While these lesions can cover part or all of your body, psoriasis is not contagious. Many people do not understand that, which is another reason the National Psoriasis Foundation hosts walks such as this one coming up in Naperville. The hope is to bring people together to become more aware of psoriasis and lessen the stigma many feel as well as to raise funds to help find a cure.

Join your neighbors on Sunday, November 1, at 9:00 a.m. on the Riverwalk in Naperville. It will be fun for the whole family. To learn more about the psoriasis walk, visit npf.donordrive.com and choose Naperville. Registration is free.
