COD hosts free retirement investment strategies seminar Oct. 21
The College of DuPage Foundation is hosting a series of free seminars this fall designed to educate participants on topics and challenges related to retirement. Focused on investment strategies for retirees, the third seminar in the series will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and again from 4 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the Student Resource Center, Room 1144, on the college's main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.
These seminars are free and open to the public.
During the Oct. 21 seminar, attendees will learn how taxes, inflation and investment management can determine the quality of their retirement as well as how to avoid common pitfalls.
The final seminar in this series will cover estate conservation and be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
Presented by Waddell & Reed financial advisor Ed Scheer and Clancy & Associates estate planning attorney Katie Clancy, these seminars are designed to help participants prepare for retirement through well-informed and sound financial planning strategies.
