COD Board Honors All-Illinois Academic Team Members

College of DuPage Vice President for Student Services Earl Dowling congratulates recent graduate Paolo Mazza during the May 14 Board of Trustees meeting. Mazza and fellow graduate Omar Escamilla were named to the 2015 All-Illinois Academic Team. Mazza, who graduated COD with an Associates of Arts degree and a 3.8 GPA, will attend DePaul University this fall to study organizational communication and business. He has been involved with the College's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and interned with Disney through the Disney College Program. Escamilla, who was recently named a Jack Kent Cooke Scholar and will receive up to $40,000 a year to complete his baccalaureate degree, has been a member of the College's Student Leadership Council, Campus Crusade for Christ, Latino Ethnic Awareness Association, Philosophy Club and Phi Theta Kappa. He also served as Student Trustee for the 2014-2015 academic year. He will attend DePaul University this fall to study organizational communication.
