COD Hosts National League for Nursing Immersion Experience in Hospital Lab
Judy Kemper from Oklahoma State University and Kathleen Fischer from Harper College work to assess and treat a “patient” during a simulation exercise at College of DuPage. Kemper, Fischer and other members of the National League for Nursing visited the Glen Ellyn campus, utilizing the College's state-of-the-art Hospital Simulation Lab. The $350,000 facility, which opened for the fall semester in the Health and Science Center, consists of a nurse's station, four hospital rooms, two viewing rooms and one debriefing room. The lab is used for instructional purposes by approximately 400 students per semester enrolled in Associate Degree Nursing,
Practical Nursing and Basic Nursing Assistant programs. Click here for more photos. For more information about the National League for Nursing, click here. For more information about Nursing programs at College of DuPage, click here. (Press Photography Network/ Special to College of DuPage)
