Glenbard North 5, WW South 4:The Panthers (14-8, 11-4) scored all their runs in the bottom of the third inning while taking two of three from WW South (15-9, 10-5) in their DuPage Valley Conference series. Eight different players had hits for Glenbard North, with Adam Villanueva driving in 2 runs. Brett Consitt pitched 4 innings of relief to pick up the win. Connor Ostrander had 2 RBI for the Tigers.Wheaton North 6, West Chicago 3:With the score knotted at 3-3 after West Chicago (4-19, 1-14) scored in the top of the sixth, Wheaton North (18-5, 10-4) broke through for 3 runs in the bottom of the inning to move into a tie for second place in the DuPage Valley Conference. Michael Mannix and Lake Bachar each had 2 hits for the Falcons while Nick Traversa won in relief of Sam Nafziger. Ryan Koester went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI for West Chicago. Benet 3, Notre Dame 1:Connor Hickey and Jason Blohm each went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Redwings (16-6, 6-3) in their East Suburban Catholic Conference win. Pat Peterson struck out 10 and scattered 7 hits in a complete-game effort.Naperville North 6, West Aurora 0:Ryan Krainz went 3-for-3 and Nick Solak and Pat Mollo added 2 hits apiece for the Huskies (14-7, 10-5), who swept in the DuPage Valley Conference. Robert Leonard pitched 6 innings for the win. Glenbard West 13, Proviso West 4:Winning pitcher Dennis Rudolph went 2-for-2 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI as the Hilltoppers (10-14, 7-11) capped the West Suburban Silver sweep. Mitch Monocchio went 3-for-4 while Luke Domask and Tyler Dayton had 2 hits apiece. Waubonsie Valley 13, East Aurora 4:The Warriors (13-9, 11-6) swept the Upstate Eight Conference series as eight players accounted for 14 hits. C.J. Lee and Tad Wegner had 3 hits apiece while Tyler Hasper, Ben Vietri and Troy Fumagalli drove in 2 runs. Corey Wright pitched 5 innings to win on the mound. Wheaton Academy 8, Walther Lutheran 4:The Warriors (3-14, 2-10) followed a 3-run second inning with a 5-run fifth to win in the Suburban Christian Conference. Luke Kram went 2-for-3 with a homer and 3 RBI. John Schmitz scattered 7 hits in the complete-game effort on the mound.St. Francis 11, Immaculate Conception 1:Josh Croci, Tim Zettinger, Brett Jungles and T.J. Jackson all had 2 hits for the Spartans (13-9, 10-4), who broke open the Suburban Christian Conference win by scoring 8 runs in the bottom of the second inning. Jack Petrando drove in 2 runs and Jason Sullivan improved to 5-1 on the mound. Hinsdale South 2, Addison Trail 0:Matt Reschke pitched a 4-hitter with 3 strikeouts and no walks for the Hornets (18-6, 13-5) to outduel Anthony Infantino#146;s 6-hitter for Addison Trail (8-18, 5-10) in the West Suburban Gold. Hinsdale South scored a run in the first inning and added a fourth-inning insurance run.Riverside-Brookfield 4, Glenbard South 3:The Raiders (14-5, 10-2) fell in the Metro Suburban Conference despite a 3-for-3 effort with an RBI from Will Cornwell. Ethan Gasbarro had 2 hits and scored twice for Glenbard South. Westmont 3, Lisle 1:Westmont scored twice in the top of the seventh inning to pull out the Interstate Eight Conference victory against the Lions (14-7, 9-3). Brian Czyl, Ryan Van Volkenburg, Kevin Coppin and Cliff Krause accounted for the 4 hits by Lisle. Losing pitcher Alex Ventrella allowed only 5 hits.Oak Park 5, Downers North 4:The Trojans (16-7, 11-4) suffered a West Suburban Silver sweep at the hands of Oak Park after the Huskies scored the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth inning. Connor Kopach went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI for Downers North. James Sheldon had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Lyons Twp. 5, Hinsdale Central 4:The Lions scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to win their third straight West Suburban Silver game against Hinsdale Central. Chris Botsoe went 4-for-4 with a triple and RBI for the Red Devils (11-10, 7-7). Justice Camalick went 3-for-3 with a run scored. Morton 8, York 7:Josh Paparone, who doubled three times, and Anthony Santos had 2 RBI apiece but the Dukes (13-13) fell in the West Suburban Conference crossover. River Pitlock went 2-for-4.
