COD's Phi Theta Kappa named Most Distinguished in Illinois
The College of DuPage chapter of Phi Theta Kappa was recently selected as the Most Distinguished chapter in Illinois for the second year in a row at the annual Phi Theta Kappa Illinois Regional convention.
Four members of the College of DuPage chapter also received individual awards at the convention: Brittany Stirmell of Roselle, Outstanding Chapter Officer; Jeremy Bernas of Geneva, Regional Leader of Distinction; Colleen Fessler of Batavia, Regional Spirit; and Kristine Ilagan of Lombard, Hall of Honor Officer.
In addition, for the second year in a row, the College of DuPage chapter was ninth runner-up for Most Distinguished chapter at the Phi Theta Kappa International Convention recently held in Nashville. The College also earned awards for Outstanding Honors in Action and Outstanding College-Wide Project.
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society of two-year colleges that encourages academic achievement and provides opportunity for personal development through honors, leadership, service and fellowship programs.
