Jerrick Habecker also went 4-for-4.Wheaton North 15, Naperville North 3:The Falcons (17-7, 12-5) maintained a half-game lead atop the DuPage Valley Conference standings thanks to a six-inning win over the Huskies (9-15, 6-11). Reece Butler, who had 3 hits, Jeff Schalk and John Peltz all homered in a 16-hit barrage. Waubonsie Valley 3, Metea Valley 2:A run in the top of the seventh inning broke a 2-2 tie for the Warriors (13-11, 12-7) in their three-game Upstate Eight Conference Valley sweep of Metea Valley (10-11, 6-11). Winning pitcher Mitch Stefani (4-1) went 3-for-3 while Eric Josupait and Harry Vickers each had 2 hits. Andrew Fox went 2-for-3 for the Mustangs. Wheaton Academy 9, Montini 4:J.D. Joiner, Drew Sandberg and Tate Fritz all homered and combined for 8 RBI for the Warriors (19-8, 12-4) in their Suburban Christian Blue win. Trevor Swaney (6-1) was the complete-game winning pitcher. Mike Davis and Kurt Gitchell went 3-for-4 for Montini (14-9, 6-8).St. Francis 5, Walther Lutheran 4:The Spartans (18-8, 9-5) scored 3 runs in the sixth and once in the seventh to pull out the Suburban Christian Blue road win. Tom Ameche homered and drove in 2 runs. Eric Bacon improved to 3-1, striking out two and walking none in 5 innings.Glenbard South 11, Elmwood Park 7:The Raiders (14-9, 11-2) won their seventh straight in the Metro Suburban Conference as complete-game winning pitcher Billy Strohl stayed perfect at 6-0 and also hit a 3-run homer. Zach Bava went 3-for-4 with a 3-run home run and 4 RBI. Doren Blake and Carl Sanders each had 2 hits.
