Registration for College of Lake County summer and fall classes begins March 10

It's not too early to think about summer, and March spring break time is a great opportunity for college students and their parents to start planning to take courses at the College of Lake County. Registration begins March 10 for CLC's three-week Intersession (May 17 to June 3) and eight-week Summer Session (June 6 to July 30) as well as the Fall Semester (Aug. 22 to Dec. 16). If you're unsure about what career to pursue, you can learn more at free information sessions. Each session lasts about an hour and includes an overview of the career field, salary, job outlook and educational requirements. No RSVP is required. Or if you want to complete short-term training to become a truck driver, real estate agent, pharmacy technician or veterinary technician, view a list of Continuing Professional Development programs and information sessions at www.clcillinois.edu/professional.

CLC also offers an array of noncredit personal enrichment courses and camps, on topics such as fitness, music, computers, astronomy, writing, dance, history, cooking, jewelry making and more, for students of all ages, from children through retirees. If you need to complete a GED (high school equivalency), learn English as a Second Language or build basic competency in reading, writing and math, CLC's Adult Basic Education division offers free courses at all three campuses and other Lake County locations that also begin in January. Washington St. During CLC's spring break, March 21-25, student services offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. At other times, college offices are open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Because of Sustainable Campus Master Plan construction, which includes a new café, Welcome and One-Stop Center and B Wing remodeling, students must use alternate routes around Grayslake Campus areas closed off for construction.
