ECU to perform 'Beethoven & Mozart: Music of the Masters'

Explore works by two beloved composers, Mozart's Salzburg masterpiece the "Coronation Mass," Beethoven's incidential music theater piece "King Stephen," and other works of the classical period at the Elgin Choral Union's "Beethoven & Mozart: Music of the Masters" concert at 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the Blizzard Theatre at Elgin Community College, 1700 Spartan Drive.

Tickets are $22, $17 for seniors and $14 for students.

Founded in 1947 from a "union" of church choirs, the Elgin Choral Union fosters innovative partnerships that increase community access to the arts through collaborations and educational outreach programs.
