Access Urgent Care & Vein Clinic opens in West Chicago

A grand opening of a new, state-of-the-art healthcare facility located at the crossroads of North Avenue (Illinois Route 64) and Neltnor Boulevard (Illinois Route 59) in the Mosaic Crossing Shopping Center was celebrated recently. West Chicago Mayor Ruben Pineda assisted the physicians of Access Urgent Care and Vein Clinic, their staff and local business owners, in cutting the ceremonial ribbon during an open house that provided tours of the facility and information on their wide range of available health care services.

Board certified physicians Vaseemudin Mohammad, MD, Fazal Mohammad, MD and Waji Mohammed, MD, oversaw the renovation of a former drive-up bank building into an urgent care facility capable of triaging patients through a security-encrypted digital check-in process that immediately alerts staff to symptoms requiring urgent care while the patients are filling out their forms.

According to the physicians, the urgent care facility provides patients with a convenient and less expensive alternative to an emergency room, in most cases. Their goal is to see patients within 30 minutes of arrival and they accept walk-in and scheduled patients, 365 days a year, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

The onsite x-ray and lab facilities allow doctors to treat a full range of urgent care needs such as fractures, complex lacerations, sports injuries, and all adult and pediatric illnesses. Additionally, the facility manages work related injuries and occupational medicine as well as drug screenings and work and school physicals.

Affiliated with the urgent care clinic is a Vein Clinic, offering a full range of minimally invasive procedures for all common vein conditions including varicose veins, reticular veins and spider veins. Services range from the initial evaluation to diagnosis and include sclerotherapy for visible veins to injections and laser treatments. Dr. Waji Mohammed has extensive experience in vascular disease and is Board certified in Phlebology.

“The City of West Chicago is delighted that the vacant bank building has been meticulously repurposed into a modern and convenient healthcare facility for our residents and we welcome Access Urgent Care and Vein Clinic to our community as a local business partner,” said Mayor Pineda.

Access Urgent Care is located at 1865 N. Neltnor Boulevard (Illinois Route 59). For additional information, call (630) 876-9000 or visit http://accessurgentcare.simpl.com/.
