Ivanhoe Congregational Church is the oldest organized church in Lake County established in 1838 and celebrating its 175th anniversary this year. For several years, parishioners met in private homes. In the spring of 1845, members began to “raise a church” in the same way they were accustomed to raising barns and cabins. The original location was in Libertyville but this church failed and a new church was built in the Mundelein location in 1856. To celebrate their 175th year, members and friends of Ivanhoe Congregational Church, UCC, worshipped together and then enjoyed a meal and program at Dover Straits on February 24, 2013.

The worship service on August 11th will begin at 9:00 am.
