Burlington Central 5, DeKalb 3: The Rockets began the most competitive week of their season with a nonconference win at DeKalb, beating Barbs' ace Katie Kowalski. Becca Gerke was 2-for-4 with a triple for BC, while Lauren King was 2-for-4 with a double and Bekah Harnish 2-for-3 with a double. Brooke Gaylord recorded the win, allowing 5 hits with 2 strikeouts and 3 walks for the Rockets (24-2).

Jacobs 6, Dundee-Crown 1: Jacquelyn Hengler went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI and Sarah Murray had a double and 2 RBI as Jacobs won this Fox Valley Conference Valley Division game. Nicky Chapa and Kaitlyn Woloszyk also drove in runs for the Golden Eagles (14-14, 5-7) and Kelsey Peters picked up the win, allowing 5 hits with 2 strikeouts and no walks. Losing pitcher Amanda Eissler had a double for the Chargers (3-18, 0-10) and Mallory Shilf drove in a run.

CL Central 3, Hampshire 1: Haley Widmayer was 2-for-3 with a double for Hampshire in this FVC Fox loss. Jennifer Hurst took the loss for the Whip-Purs (9-17, 4-7), allowing 7 hits with 4 strikeouts and 4 walks.

Batavia 14, Larkin 4: Lexi Price was 2-for-3 and Alex Buhrow had a triple for Larkin in the Upstate Eight River. Jaclyn Saurbaugh took the loss for the Royals (3-21, 2-12).

St. Charles East 2, Streamwood 0: Jessica Daley and Kaitlyn Hedger combined to allow SCE only 5 hits but Streamwood (5-17, 2-12) only managed a double from Melissa Malcolm and a single by Brittany Delao in this UEC River loss.

McHenry 5, Huntley 1: Losing pitcher Haley Spannraft was 2-for-4 for Huntley (18-10, 5-7) in the FVC Valley.

CL South 5, Richmond 3: Kimmy Woods was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and Hailee Massie threw a 4-hitter with 8 strikeouts and no walks to lead the Gators (13-8) to a nonconference win. Taylor Kassel was 2-for-4 with an RBI, Sam McLean drove in a run and Kara Zybko and Madison Perrine each had 2 hits for Crystal Lake South.
