Palatine wins on home turf

Palatine's Sally Ploch earned medalist honors with a 42 as the Pirates girls golf team defeated Wheeling 197-228 at their Palatine Hills Golf Course.

Jamie Lloyd (50), Carolyn Angiollo (52) and Sarah Mattess (53) completed the Pirates' scorecard while the Wildcats were led by Jackie Resnick (48), Kaitlyn DeBusk (53), Rebecka Falkiner (57 and Kristen Caramba (68).

Elk Grove 199, Maine West 213: The host Grens were led by Marki Kaim 44, Katie DeMeuenaere 46, Sara Hartness 53 and Erin Walz 56 at Fox Run Golf Lakes.

Kayla Hansen (45), Natalie Kozenczak (52), Olenka Kalinowski (55) and Colleen Schloss (61) were top scorers for the Warriors.

St. Viator second: Benet (181) won the East Suburban Catholic Conference quad on its River Bend Golf Club in Lisle over St. Viator (186), Providence (192) and Marist (194).

Top scorers for the Lions were Dana Gattone (40), Amy Stringfellow (45), Hailey Gainer (48) and Courtney Christophe (53).
